1st Meet Over

Well the first race has come and gone…It did not go as well as I felt it was going to. I still have a ways to go to just start racing again for the joy of running and using the gifts God has given me to glorify Him.  I am working on switching my mentality to a “Just Do It” one and not worry about anyone else on the track except for myself….i need to go out with a mentality to win and not pressure myself with times or beating any certain people, but this is a lot easier said than done. Training on the other hand is going amazing.

Results from saturday: Pomona Pitzer

3k: 9:07

1k: 2:39

4x400m relay: 55 split (def need to work on my speed)

NEXT race is UNLV Invite and i will be racing the 5k, 1500, and either the mile or 1200 in the Distance Medley Relay.

On another not this saturday Febuary 25th, the number 3 car in Nascar is coming out of retirement and sporting an ADVOCARE logo so im super pumped about that! If you want more info about the company and what its all about check out www.run4advocare.com

Im Back!

Its been way too long since i have left any post and I am back and ready to stay more consistent with my blogging! Life has been a little crazy but so fun! Track season is upon me and I am ready to get rolling and see what God has in store for me this season.  This year I am trying not to think about running for certain Pr’s or to beat people but run for the Joy that running brings me and to have fun because I feel that if i can do this I feel the times and victories will come with that Joy.  I am not going to burden myself with pressure but instead use the abilities God has given me to do what I Love to do and that is RUN! I have caught myself way too many times getting down on myself, fearing failure, placing pressure on myself and expecting things that no one else cares about…so my goal this season is to not do any of that! This track season will be the best one yet because I am going to surrender my FEARS and Go for it!

AdvoCare- Spark Your Engines

Hey all! Just wanted to share with you guys a little about AdvoCare. A name you may not be familiar with
just yet, but after this weekend, I’m sure thats going to change. I have been an avid product user since last
Fall and wouldn’t trust my running career or classroom success to anything else!! I’ve gained more muscle
while training than any previous season and had better focus in class with less anxiety at races and while
testing.

This is a HUGE weekend in Advocare history. Some of you are NASCAR fans I’m sure, but if you
aren’t yet…you will be!! On Sunday, Advocare will be the sponsor of the Atlanta 500 Sprint Cup
Series race. This will air on ESPN at 7:00 pm EST and you will be amazed at the Advocare signage,
commercials, and actual CAR in the race.

We also launched a brand new Spark flavor TODAY!! Order this weekend to receive a free funnel with
your new Mango-Strawberry Spark Canister (or packets). You have the option to become a distributor,
which open your online shop and give you at least a 20% discount on all your orders for life! (annual $50
renewal fee). You also have the option of being a retail customer who orders at full price. But if you are
anything like me, the discount sounds really good.

I have a great team here in San Diego who is helping me earn extra income by helping others look, feel,
and perform better. We’d love to help you accomplish your wellness, fitness, and financial goals.

Have a great Labor Day weekend and get ready to Spark your Engines on Sunday.

Altitude Project 2011!

So at the moment I am in Mammoth Lakes, California at a Christian Distance running camp called Altitude Project.

It is incredible to get the opportunity to be up at altitude for 3 weeks with other collegiate runners from all over the country running in the mountains and exploring God together.

God works in such amazing ways putting people in your life who will challenge you in your faith and provides you with friendships that will last a lifetime…this is what i feel I get from this program every year as well as exponentially growing as a runner.

We do a technology fast Monday through Wednesday of each week of the camp which is awesome to just be able to get away from all realities for a while and just be in fellowship with each other and enjoy the time we are given being up away from any distractions…my one downfall to this restriction is i still always have to call the parents cant survive 3 days without checking in with them because they are my greatest support system besides God.

Here are a couple of pics I have taken over the past week and I am going to try and be more on top of keeping this thing updated! :) I’m excited to share whats happening in my life as well as start posting some things on health and fitness to any readers who are interested. Also some different things I do for injury prevention that I am all about! Hope y’all enjoy this post!

Mammoth!

So I have been doing a lot of thinking on what I was going to do my post on today and came up with this.

Mammoth Lakes, California has become one of my favorite places in the world. I had the opportunity to go to a running camp called Altitude Project and do some incredible runs there with some awesome people. The scenery is breathe taking as well as the …altitude! This camp seriously change my life and my view of running. I cannot wait to go back again this year and relive it all again! God works in such amazing ways! God Bless y’all!

If you want more info about the camp you can check it out at www.altitudeproject.com

Vision

Hi my name is Cameron Erhardt, I am a collegiate runner for University of San Diego and this is my blog! Hope you all enjoy!

Ryan Hall is one of my favorite elite runners of all time. His love for God and how he shows his religion, faith, and purpose in every run is undeniably contagious. I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with Ryan and his wife Sara and they really reminded me of why I love to run and use the talents God has given me to glorify Him. This video from one of Ryans training runs for the 2009 Boston Marathon gets me every time I watch it.

Having a vision in running is what helps you to push yourself to the limits and enables your body to do things you never thought at all possible….With God anything is possible.

“Champions aren’t made in the gym. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.”
